Analog Devices TMC2240 Smart Integrated Stepper Drivers are high-performance stepper motor driver ICs with serial communication interfaces (SPI, UART) and extensive diagnosis capabilities. The TMC2240 combines a 256µstep built-in indexer, two fully integrated 36V, 3.0A maximum H-Bridges, and non-dissipative Integrated Current Sensing (ICS). TMC2240 components feature abundant diagnostics and protections such as short circuit/over-current protection, thermal shutdown, and under-voltage lockout. During thermal shutdown and under-voltage lockout events, the driver is disabled. The Analog Devices TMC2240 Smart Integrated Stepper Drivers provide functions to measure the driver temperature, estimate the motor temperature, and measure one external analog input. The drivers are available in a 5mm x 5mm, TQFN32 or 9.7mm x 4.4mm, TSSOP38 package.
